About The Position

With locations in North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota, Forum Communications Printing addresses commercial printing and mailing needs with our high-quality print and mail solutions. Services include magazine, catalog, book, and tradeshow printing, brochures, direct mailers, postcards, variable data printing, statements, glossy inserts, annual reports, fulfillment, first class mail pick-up, and print & digital publications. Forum Communications Printing is part of Forum Communications Company, a 5th-generation, family-owned, Upper Midwest media company. This position is responsible for the daily operation of the MLOCR. This employee oversees sweepers to ensure compliance with postal regulations, may assist with daily operation of mail meter machines as required, and will assist as a back up driver on routes as needed. This is a 32-Benefitted position, Monday - Friday, 1045am - 630pm, approximately.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows required.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Possession of, OR the ability to obtain, a DOT medical card - company will assist with this, if you do not currently have it.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record that is insurable by the company.
  • Must carry an acceptable level of vehicle insurance as required by the company.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the service/delivery area is beneficial, while covering driving routes.

Responsibilities

  • Daily operation of the MLOCR, including: feeding, monitoring, sweeping bins, maintenance, housekeeping, quality control, and computer operations.
  • Assist with sorting mail; remove mail from sorting machines, prepare and label mail trays.
  • Daily operation of mail meter machines, including feeding, monitoring, light maintenance,
  • quality control, and computer operation.
  • Sweep bins on the OCR - sorting, traying, cleaning, and stocking.
  • Act as a backup driver on mail routes.
  • Safely operate company vehicles (such as vans, small trucks, or a single axel box truck) for pick-up and delivery of printed materials.
  • Load and unload products, ensuring all items are properly secured to prevent damage in transit.
  • Verify delivery documentation, including packing slips, invoices, and delivery logs, ensuring accuracy before departure.
  • Provide professional, courteous customer service when interacting with clients, vendors, and internal staff.
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicle, reporting any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
  • Follow all company safety policies, traffic laws, and local regulations.
  • Keep current and updated on mail and postal regulations.
  • In the event of an accident involving a company vehicle, employee is required to follow procedure as detailed in FCP Motor Vehicle Safety Program.
  • Communicate delivery status, delays, or issues to the supervisor in a timely manner.
