OCP Platform Engineer Lead - Local to Cleveland, OH

About The Position

This is an onsite position located at our client site in Cleveland, OH. We are seeking an experienced OCP Platform support professional who can work in a highly critical environment supporting many applications. Your future duties and responsibilities: . Support Non-Prod & Prod environments from end to end, it includes daily requests (user access, namespace creation, dashboarding, monitoring/alerting, reporting, ,logging etc), supporting application team releases with specific tasks (secret creation, pvc creation, request quota increase etc) & general support which include any issue with deployments, or platform related issues. . Work on Incidents, JIRA tickets, CTASKs for prod/non-prod requests and issues without missing SLA. . Ensure all the cluster must be up and running during offshore hours, if we find any platform issue we have to troubleshoot issue in parallel we have to engage onsite resources as well as RedHat vendor. . Work closely with MIS partners to make their releases smooth from Dev to Prod environments. . Work closely with RH to find the root cause of intermittent issues or repetitive issues. . Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of enterprise applications and systems . Work to continuously improve speed, efficiency, and scalability of the enterprise applications and systems . Work across functions (development / testing, deployment, systems / infrastructure) and project teams to ensure quality and speed across enterprise systems . Automate wherever feasible / practical . Pro-actively communicate with Organization technology partners and sister teams . Pro-actively seek opportunities to implement improvements to internal processes . Review requirements and other technical documentation . DevOps, continuous integration / delivery principals and tools (for example, GIT, Jenkins, Artifactory, IBM uDeploy, etc.) . Source control and configuration management principals and tools (for example, GIT, SVN) and client tools like Source Tree, GitKraken, Git Bash. etc..

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in production support, preferably with experience in enterprise-scale projects.
  • Strong Experience in OCP, certification preferred..
  • In-depth knowledge of BPM concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with databases and SQL queries and shell scripting for data manipulation and reporting.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and design process flows accordingly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Extensive experience in supporting OCP RTB Project.
  • Professional experience on Build, Deploy and Release Engineering and Software Configuration management (SCM).
  • Expertise in Software Configuration Management (SCM) including, Build, Deploy and Release, SVN, GIT, HARVEST SCM Implementation, CI build Process implementation, Software build Integration.
  • Good Knowledge on build tools (MAVEN, ANT and GRADLE).
  • Expertise in Enterprise applications deployment on uDeploy and OpenShift.
  • Good Knowledge on Configuration, Administration and Maintenance of Continuous Integration tool Jenkins.
  • Expertise creating multiple templates to serve different application deployment needs using IBM Urban Code Deploy tool
  • Expertise maintaining JFROG Artifactory for build dependencies / Binary storage
  • Jenkins Pipeline DSL experience
  • Knowledge of scripting technologies to automate our support activities
  • Ability to schedule, estimate, priorities and deliver to commitments with a number of parallel ongoing efforts
  • Good understanding of GitOps implementation
  • Working knowledge of high standard industry tools such as Jenkins, Git, Artifactory, Maven, Gradle, and familiar with Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills
