Requirements

• Active Oklahoma RN License (or eligibility)
• BLS Certification (within 30 days of hire)
• ACLS/PALS Certification (training provided if needed)
• Strong nursing judgment - Ability to make quick, informed decisions.
• Excellent communication skills - Verbal & written proficiency.
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for surgery according to hospital policies & procedures.
• Assess and document patient history, vitals, and medication administration.
• Monitor patients for anesthesia interactions, side effects, and expected outcomes.
• Quickly and efficiently respond to emergency situations using ACLS, PALS, and hospital protocols.
• Maintain accurate & up-to-date documentation in Cerner.
• Ensure all admission requirements are met before surgery.
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols to maintain a secure environment.
• Provide compassionate patient & family education regarding the surgical process.
