About The Position
The Kinship Family Specialist is responsible for conducting initial and ongoing searches for absent parents, maternal and paternal relatives, or kinship resources as required. This position involves exposure to parents, guardians, and youth with behavioral problems, including possible physical aggression. A personal vehicle is required for travel, and the specialist must possess a valid driver's license. The role is sensitive to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the service population and requires maintaining confidentiality regarding access to sensitive records.
