The Ocoee Outpost Photo Coordinator plays a key role in managing the photography operation at NOC’s Ocoee Outpost. This position ensures that guests receive high-quality photos that capture the excitement of their rafting adventure while maintaining an efficient and organized photo program. The Photo Coordinator oversees the day-to-day operations of the outpost photography team, including equipment maintenance, file management, staff training, and guest service. In addition to coordinating the program, this role actively photographs rafting trips along the Ocoee River and assists guests in purchasing their photos, providing them with a lasting memory of their experience.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with strong defensive driving skills.
  • Ability to safely drive along river roads and access designated photography locations.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
  • Comfortable working in a variety of weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain.
  • Physical ability to hike, climb, and navigate short stretches of loose or steep terrain.
  • Basic computer and technology proficiency.
  • Ability to handle and care for delicate camera and computer equipment responsibly.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous photography experience, especially with DSLR cameras.
  • Experience with photo editing, file management, or digital media workflows.
  • Experience in retail or guest-facing sales roles.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting basic computer or technology issues.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all cameras, computers, and accessories are maintained and in proper working order.
  • Maintain general cleanliness and organization of the photo operation and workspace.
  • Oversee organization, uploading, and archiving of photo files.
  • Respond to guest emails and phone calls regarding photo purchases or questions.
  • Address and resolve customer service issues related to photo sales and guest experience.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Outpost Manager and department leadership.
  • Oversee training, scheduling support, and performance of outpost photographers.
  • Capture high-quality photos of guests’ rafting experiences using DSLR cameras.
  • Safely drive to designated locations along the Ocoee River to photograph rafting trips.
  • Walk or scramble into designated photography vantage points along the river.
  • Operate computers and monitors to display, upload, and archive photos.
  • Assist guests in locating and purchasing their photos and answer questions about photo products.
  • Prepare and distribute photo products (digital downloads, CDs, or other media).
  • Support daily photo sales operations and contribute to a positive guest experience.
  • Perform other tasks related to photography, sales, and guest experience as needed.
