About The Position
The Summer Camp Instructor is responsible for creating a friendly, respectful, open, and honest working environment. This role involves developing age-appropriate lessons within a defined curriculum area such as art, music, and movement for each day of camp. The instructor will provide quality care for children and maintain communication with families. Additionally, the instructor will prepare detailed lesson plans for each week's summer session, ensuring a balance of independent and teacher-directed activities, a variety of experiences, and opportunities for children to make choices about their activities. The role requires excellent communication skills, honesty, integrity, and a commitment to confidentiality, along with imagination and a sense of humor.
