About The Position

Weekly outpatient therapy isn't always enough, and a trip to the ER isn't the only answer. Patients and their families rely on Compass Health Center when in crisis – every day, we help people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely. About This Role At the core of Compass we believe in the power of community and connection, which is why we are committed to our group-based programming. As a group therapist, you will spend the majority of your time with our patients facilitating evidenced based groups using modalities like CBT, DBT, ACT, and ERP. We are seeking new and experienced clinicians with a passion for delivering dynamic and informative groups for our patients. Our location in Northbrook is our first and largest facility, and consists not only of our widest variety of programs, but also serves as a pilot site for many of our new treatment offerings.

Requirements

  • Are passionate about facilitating group therapy and seeking an environment to work collaboratively with others
  • Are a Master’s level therapist
  • Hold the following licenses or education: LSW (or LSW eligible), LPC (or LPC eligible), LCSW, or LCPC
  • Have familiarity with or interest in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)
  • Have a fundamental interest in OCD and anxiety disorders

Nice To Haves

  • Have prior experience working in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, inpatient hospital, or residential setting (preferred, not required)

Responsibilities

  • Providing group therapy to patients in a safe and therapeutic milieu
  • Provide individual and group-based Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy
  • Attend training for Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy
  • Conduct and write assessments of patients transferring into the program when needed
  • Development and implementation of program material and curriculum
  • Provide insurance utilization team with updates
  • Participating in professional development activities
  • This position may also include meeting with patients individually for crisis management or support
  • Opportunity to facilitate family or parent support groups if interested
  • Other duties as assigned
