Bridge believes the population surge of millennials, coupled with the housing supply shortage endemic across the U.S., will drive demand for single-family rentals in infill neighborhoods in prime-growth markets. The existing home market has grown increasingly competitive as inventory moves quickly and homes are receiving multiple bids. We believe the result will provide increased upward pressure on home prices and fewer affordable starter homes. We believe renters, particularly those in their 30’s with families, will drive housing demand with an increased preference for products that provide an attractive cost of living and flexible layout. Through a combination of one-off acquisitions and build-to-rent strategies, we seek to help residents find the right house for their home.
