Territory: Piqua, Sidney, Tipp City, Troy, Vandalia, Catawba, Mechanicsburg, N. Lewisburg, St. Paris, Urbana, Westville, Woodstock, Casstown, Conover, Donnelsville, Enon, Fletcher, Medway, New Carlisle, North Hampton, S. Charleston, S. Vienna, Tremont City, Christianburg, Springfield.

Requirements

• Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) with current license in the state of employment.
• Minimum one-year experience as an OTA in an acute care setting.
• Home care experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance in your name as a driver.
• Capable of all physical demands.

Responsibilities

• Provide home-based therapy for patients as directed by the attending physician and by following the order sets and goals created by the Occupational Therapist.
• Interact with patients' families while caring for patients and experience the rewarding privilege to be part of every step of their recovery journey.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy as ordered by the attending physician and observe and monitor patient conditions.
• Assess functional problems and provide intervention in conjunction with the occupational therapist to improve patient functional status.
• Counsel patients and families on the disease/injury and how to manage in all phases of occupational therapy.
• Instruct patients and family members on proper use of equipment such as wheelchairs, braces, walkers, crutches, canes, and other prosthetic/orthotic devices.
• Complete all clinical documentation following agency protocol and Medicare/Federal guidelines.
• Understand and follow agency policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
