Requirements

Graduated after successful completion of an Occupational Therapy Assistant education program accredited by: The Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc. (AOTA), or its successor organizations.
Is eligible to take, or successfully completed, the entry-level certification examination for Occupational Therapy Assistants developed, and administered, by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NBCOT)
Licensed to practice within the state of Florida
CPR certification required (Online certification not accepted).
At least one year of institutional experience
Reliable Transportation

Member of the American Occupational Therapy Association preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide occupational therapy services and assessments to patients in their homes
Guide and instruct patients through prescribed therapeutic care.
Assist in the implementation and development of patient care plans.
Prepare progress notes following visits for patients’ charts.
