Requirements

  • Valid Occupational Therapist Assistant License

Responsibilities

  • Treat patients according to the Occupational Therapist’s directives and physician treatment plans.
  • Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes per OT Board requirements.
  • Maintain clear communication with supervisors and health team members regarding patient progress and care plans.
  • Assist the nursing department by training Restorative Aides and instructing patient families or staff on maintenance programs and caregiver training.
  • Participate in discharge planning as needed.
  • Report any issues with department equipment to ensure proper functioning and hygiene in the treatment area.
