About The Position

Comforting, Loving & Helping Hands Home Care is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to provide skilled therapy treatment visits to patients in their homes throughout the Altamonte Springs, FL area. This role focuses on treatment visits performed under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist , with compensation structured per visit or hourly depending on the case and service provided . This position is ideal for OTAs who are confident working independently in the field, understand home‑health workflows, and value accurate, timely clinical documentation. Requirements

  • License: Active Florida Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license
  • Experience: Minimum two (2) years of clinical experience
  • Home Health Experience: Preferred
  • Documentation Skills: Ability to complete detailed, accurate clinical notes
  • Compliance: CPR certification and Level II background screening
  • Transportation: Ability to travel to patient homes
  • Classification: Willingness to work as a 1099 Independent Contractor

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled occupational therapy treatment visits as outlined in the Plan of Care
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and functional tasks
  • Implement therapeutic activities to improve safety, independence, and daily function
  • Monitor patient response to treatment and report progress or concerns to the supervising OT
  • Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, techniques, and safety strategies
  • Communicate effectively with the supervising OT and interdisciplinary team
  • Complete accurate, timely, and defensible clinical documentation
