About The Position

In this role, you'll use your clinical expertise to educate and inspire students, preparing them for successful careers as Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs). Premier Medical Institute (PMI) is seeking an experienced OTA or OT to join our Denver campus. In this role, you will leverage your clinical expertise to educate and inspire students, preparing them for successful careers as Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs). Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy (OT) or Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program.
  • A current, unrestricted license or credential to practice as an OT or OTA in the state of Colorado.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of professional clinical experience in occupational therapy.
  • Proven expertise in your subject area and a demonstrated commitment to student success.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide clear instruction and feedback.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, prepare, and deliver engaging daily lesson plans, lectures, and hands-on lab demonstrations that align with program objectives and accreditation standards.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and ensure student comprehension.
  • Actively monitor student academic performance and attendance, providing proactive intervention and support to foster success.
  • Serve as an academic advisor and mentor, guiding students through their OTA curriculum and supporting their professional development.
  • Evaluate student progress through assignments, practical skills assessments, and examinations, maintaining accurate academic records.
  • Contribute to the growth and quality of the OTA program by assisting with curriculum development, externship coordination, and participation in campus committees and events.
