About The Position

This position has working knowledge of the principles and practices of Occupational Therapy and treat various disease and disabilities as they relate to the practice of Occupational Therapy. This position strives to provide optimum care to all patients/residents referred to the O.T. Service. This position will work in coordination with an occupational therapist.

Requirements

Determined by the Maryland State Board of Occupational Therapy Practice under the licensing requirements for Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistants.
Two years of experience as a Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Therapy Assistant classifications or Therapy Assistant specialty codes in the Occupation Therapy field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
Candidates for positions in this classification must possess a current license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from the Maryland State Board of Occupational Therapy Practice, Spring Grove Hospital Center, 55 Wade Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21228.
Employees in this classification may be required to successfully complete cardiopulmonary resuscitation training and maintain current certification.
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of an automobile. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
