The COTA plays a vital role within our rehabilitation team by evaluating and treating patients with physical, cognitive, or developmental impairments to enhance functional independence and overall quality of life. This position develops individualized treatment plans, delivers evidence‑based interventions, collaborates closely with physicians, therapists, and nursing staff, and provides patient and family education to support safe and successful transitions across care settings. The COTA also assists with patient scheduling, posts charges daily to patient records, and documents all care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements. This role maintains accurate, timely documentation, upholds professional standards, and contributes to a positive, patient‑centered environment focused on achieving meaningful outcomes. Requirements

  • A graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program culminating in an associate’s degree.
  • Certification from the American Occupational Therapy Association (COTA).
  • Current and valid state OTA license or certificate of practice or equivalent in the state where services are rendered.
  • Basic Life Support certification
