About the position
As an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at Powerback Rehabilitation, you will play a crucial role in helping patients recover and regain their independence. Your primary responsibilities will include implementing occupational therapy programs, following recovery plans, and delivering therapy treatments in a compassionate and patient-centered environment. You will work collaboratively with a team to ensure the highest quality of care for patients and their families, adapting to individual needs and making referrals as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Implement occupational therapy programs and activities for patients.
- Follow developed recovery plans to deliver effective therapy treatments.
- Address the whole patient, considering their individual needs and circumstances.
- Collaborate with peers and make referrals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide compassionate support to patients and their families.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA & ACOTE standards.
- Initial certification obtained from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
- Must be licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice.
