Requirements

  • Active Ohio Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license required
  • Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Compassionate, resident-first approach with a focus on meaningful outcomes
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred (new grads welcome)

Responsibilities

  • Carry out therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Support residents with self-care training, exercises, and adaptive equipment use
  • Document resident progress and communicate updates to the Occupational Therapist
  • Educate residents and families on therapy goals, safety techniques, and adaptive strategies
  • Create a positive, encouraging therapy environment that promotes participation and progress
  • Ensure therapy services meet Ohio regulations and Kingstons standards of care
