Requirements
- Active Ohio Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license required
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
- Compassionate, resident-first approach with a focus on meaningful outcomes
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Nice To Haves
- Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred (new grads welcome)
Responsibilities
- Carry out therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Support residents with self-care training, exercises, and adaptive equipment use
- Document resident progress and communicate updates to the Occupational Therapist
- Educate residents and families on therapy goals, safety techniques, and adaptive strategies
- Create a positive, encouraging therapy environment that promotes participation and progress
- Ensure therapy services meet Ohio regulations and Kingstons standards of care
