About The Position

The Occupational Therapy Acquired Brain Injury Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University is a 12-month post-professional program designed to equip occupational therapists with specialized skills to address the complex needs of individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABI). Requirements

• Graduate of an occupational therapy educational program accredited by ACOTE.
• Possess Maryland State OT license by the start date.
• Hold National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy registration.
• Possess current AHA BLS certification prior to the start of fellowship.
• AOTA membership.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in treating patients with neurological conditions in acute care or inpatient rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Engage in over 500 hours of didactic and clinical education, mentored practice, and scholarly activities.
• Provide more than 1,200 hours of direct patient care.
• Participate in evidence-informed practice and interprofessional collaboration.
• Contribute to advocacy efforts for individuals with brain injuries and their families.
• Adhere to the American Occupational Therapy Association Fellowship Program criteria and learning objectives.
