About The Position

Blue Stone Therapy is certified as a Great Place to Work! We are seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) in the Wilton area. This position comes with a $5,000 Sign-On Bonus! Founded in 2009, Blue Stone Therapy provides contract physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology to communities in Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Our focus is to deliver optimal, individualized rehabilitation by highly skilled professional therapists while developing long-term partnerships between our staff and the communities they serve. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for directly participating in occupational therapy treatment interventions and services, in accordance with state practice guidelines. This position provides direct patient care to primarily adult and geriatric patients.

Requirements

• Successful completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current valid Occupational Therapist license to practice in appropriate state.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Provides screenings and evaluations to determine requirements for skilled occupational therapy intervention relative to patient’s prior level of function.
• Develops and implements treatment plans that focus on functional and measurable outcomes and adheres to professional standards of practice.
• Monitors patients' progress and adjusts treatment plans as needed.
• Provides appropriate supervision for occupational therapy assistants in compliance with licensure, regulatory and company requirements.
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Collaborates with, coordinates, and participates in training programs for community staff, patients, families, and rehabilitation staff.
• Participates in continuous quality improvement activities.
