About The Position

We have a new opportunity for a Per Diem Occupational Therapist for our Lutheran Senior LIFE program in Jersey City! The position involves testing and evaluating patients' physical and mental abilities and analyzing medical data to determine realistic rehabilitation goals for patients. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate patients' progress and prepare reports that detail this progress. Additionally, the role includes planning, organizing, and conducting occupational therapy programs, selecting activities that will help individuals learn work and life-management skills within the limits of their mental or physical capabilities, and recommending changes in patients' work or living environments consistent with their needs and capabilities.

Requirements

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association or other equivalent organization.
• Current Occupational Therapist state license.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Service orientation and active listening skills.
• Critical thinking, judgement, and decision-making skills.
