About The Position

Join one of the nation’s leading occupational therapy vision rehabilitation programs and make a meaningful impact in the community. This per diem opportunity (24 hours/week) focuses on helping individuals regain independence after transitioning from skilled nursing facilities back into the community. In this role, you will provide functional, community-based therapy to adults participating in ABI and MFP waiver programs. You’ll support individuals in developing compensatory strategies, utilizing adaptive equipment, and building the skills needed to live safely and independently—ultimately reducing the risk of re-admission to nursing facilities.

Requirements

  • Active Massachusetts Occupational Therapy license and NBCOT certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of related outpatient experience
  • Ability to travel throughout the Central Massachusetts area
  • Reliable transportation required

Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualized occupational therapy services in community settings
  • Train individuals in adaptive techniques and use of assistive devices
  • Educate caregivers and staff to support ongoing success
  • Recommend and coordinate specialized medical equipment
  • Collaborate on discharge planning and long-term care strategies
