About The Position

Healthcare Therapist Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at a senior living facility in Rushville, Indiana. Requirements

• Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Proven experience working with senior populations in a healthcare or senior living setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate approach to resident care.
• Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
• Knowledge of occupational therapy techniques, assessments, and documentation standards.
• Flexibility to work a mixture of weekday and weekend shifts.
• Applicants must have an active Indiana Occupational Therapist license or must have the necessary qualifications to earn Indiana license. These qualifications include a degree from an ACOTE-accredited occupational therapy program, subsequent passing of the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT®) examination and fulfilling the state’s requirements for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for residents to determine their needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapy interventions aimed at improving residents' functional abilities, independence, and quality of life.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, residents, and families to ensure coordinated care.
• Document treatment progress, maintain accurate records, and comply with all regulatory and facility standards.
• Adapt therapy approaches to meet the unique needs of a diverse senior population.
