About The Position

Role Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled part-time Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our clinic team at SCSTC. You will be instrumental in delivering skilled therapist services to children with a range of developmental, sensory processing, and motor differences or delays. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to supporting children in a way that honors and respects their unique neurological profiles, collaborate well with families to support growth at home, and provide therapy in an engaging and child-led manner. Your role is crucial in helping young individuals achieve their fullest potential in daily activities, supporting their growth, and enhancing their quality of life.

Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Licensure: Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience: 1+ years working with pediatric populations is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and implement personalized treatment plans
  • Knowledge of relevant therapy techniques and modalities
  • Compassion and empathy towards clients
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish/English

Responsibilities

  • Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results, including setting goals and designing therapeutic activities.
  • Therapeutic intervention and support: Implement therapy to address fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care skills, and other developmental areas in a way that acknowledges and supports neurodiversity.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plan as necessary
  • Family Collaboration and support: Work closely with families to educate and support them in implementing and reinforcing therapy strategies at home.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with clinic teams including occupational therapists and speech therapists to provide comprehensive care.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up to date patient records in compliance with clinic and insurance standards.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct a comprehensive evaluation of pediatric clients to identify individual needs, develop goals, and create therapy plans.
  • Supervision: Provide supervision, guidance, support, and clinical insight to COTAs and OTA students on the team. Adhere to supervision standards as set by CBOT and our facility.
