Occupational Therapist - Outpatient Full Time
About The Position
The NeuroMedical Center Rehabilitation Hospital is in search of a Full Time Occupational Therapist to work in the Outpatient Setting. Responsibilities: The occupational therapist must be able to effectively complete comprehensive evaluations, establish treatment plans of care, and provide appropriate occupational therapy treatments to patients with a variety of neurological diagnosis and impairments. The focus of occupational therapy in outpatient rehabilitation is to maximize each patient's recovery and level of functional ability including but not limited to: neuromuscular recovery (through neuro rehabilitation), functional mobility skills improvement, activities of daily living skills and independent activities of daily living skills improvement, cognitive skills improvement and proper use of adaptive equipment as needed. This position also requires effective communication skills to establish good rapport with patients and staff, to educate and train caregivers, and to provide an interdisciplinary team approach to each patient's care.
Requirements
- Occupational Therapist with a current Louisiana license
- Master's Degree
- One year or more experience
