About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Rehab Director, the Occupational Therapist provides service to mentally and/or physically impaired patients including assessment, treatment program planning and implementation, related documentation and communication, for hospital in-patients and hospital out-patients. The Occupational Therapist also directs patient participation and selected tasks to restore and enhance performance and facilitate the learning of those skills to promote functional independence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy and licensed by the state of Georgia to practice Occupational Therapy.
  • Must be able to move from facility to facility intermittently throughout the day.
  • Ability to maintain good working relationship with co-workers, supervisors, management, and customers.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and organize several projects.
  • Must be able to speak the English language in an understandable manner.
  • Must be Modality Certified.
  • Ability to think and work effectively under stress with frequent interruptions; to move, sit, stand, walk, and bend intermittently throughout workday, and lift a minimum of 25% of ideal body weight.
  • Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
  • Use of mechanical and technical equipment required for the responsibilities assigned.
  • Occupational Exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens: Class I: Routinely involves exposure to blood body fluids or airborne particles
