About The Position
We are hiring an Occupational Therapist to deliver goal-driven therapy that helps patients regain the skills needed for everyday function. You will work directly with patients to improve performance in self-care, home tasks, and return-to-work routines through structured treatment planning and education.
Requirements
- Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active Virginia Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain)
- NBCOT certification
- Strong clinical documentation and time-management skills
- Experience in outpatient, inpatient, SNF, or home health is welcome (new grads considered with strong fieldwork)
Responsibilities
- Complete initial and ongoing patient assessments and document findings
- Create treatment plans tailored to functional goals and patient priorities
- Provide therapeutic interventions for ADLs/IADLs, UE rehab, balance, and coordination
- Teach strategies for safety, fall prevention, and returning to daily routines
- Recommend and train patients in adaptive tools and assistive devices
- Communicate progress and plan changes with the care team and referring providers
- Keep timely, compliant documentation and accurate billing support notes
