Occupational Therapist
About The Position
Hospital for Special Surgery is actively seeking a dynamic occupational therapist to join our Pediatric Rehabilitation team in our new state of the art HSS Pediatric Rehabilitation and Young Athlete Center. This dynamic setting offers the opportunity to practice in a supportive out-patient environment and collaborate with world class colleagues across multiple disciplines. As a member of our supportive interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing direct clinical intervention in outpatient settings for children ages newborn through 21. Candidate must be goal oriented with a desire for professional growth and demonstrate knowledge of pediatric orthopedic and neurologic conditions as well as rehabilitation guidelines. Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills a must. Pediatric upper extremity splinting experience is a plus. We offer tremendous opportunities for education, research, and career advancement.
Requirements
- New York State OT licensure is a requirement
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to work well in a team are also vital
