About The Position

We are seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to join our outpatient orthopedic team. This role is perfect for someone with outpatient experience who values work-life balance. We'll pair our coverage needs with your availability to create a schedule that works for you. This role involves evaluating, treating, and discharging patients with a wide range of diagnoses, including neuromuscular conditions (stroke, GBS, SCI, MS, TBI) and medically complex cases (amputees, COVID-19 recovery, multiple traumas). You'll also manage orthopedic and musculoskeletal upper extremity injuries, including splinting. The position may be split between our Westlake, OH (20648) and Middleburg Heights, OH (20639) clinics, with potential to transition into full-time as patient volume grows. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school for occupational therapy
  • State Occupational Therapist license (or license eligible)
  • CPR certification
  • Valid state driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
  • Enhance, develop and expand relationships with referral sources and maintain a positive level of interaction with centers and patients.
  • Develop objective patient goals and establish the type, frequency and duration of occupational therapy in collaboration with the referring physician.
  • Understand appropriate state Practice Act and adhere to the laws that govern how OTs may practice and whom they may supervise.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of new programs or procedures with the approval of the manager and referring physicians per HIPPA guidelines.
  • Supervise and delegate occupational therapy care for each patient within the guidelines of state rules and federal regulations.
  • Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment programs and demonstrate completion of patient care responsibilities and documentation requirements in an appropriate and timely manner.
