About The Position

We are North Shore Medical Center. Our primary function is to offer continuous nursing, medical, and other health and social services on a 24-hour basis, under physician directed care and RN supervision.
We service a multitude of patients and their families across our vast network, while remaining committed to the professional development of our staff, the functional improvement of our patients, and the cultivation of strong partnerships within our communities.
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of Rehabilitation Services and the Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing occupational therapy modalities and treatments in accordance with the established hospital and departmental policies and procedures and under the guidelines of the board of professional regulations and the occupational therapy practice act. Maintaining the highest degree of quality patient care at all times.

Requirements

• Must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Knowledge of the principles and applications of Occupational Therapy Modalities and treatments.
• Capability to evaluate and assess the patients condition.
• Knowledge of Infection Control, and Body Mechanics Techniques to be applied during patient care.
• One year experience, recent graduate will be considered.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must have a current professional license issued by the Florida Board of Occupational Therapy Practice.
• BLS Certification.
