About The Position

The primary function of the Occupational Therapist is to perform evaluations, to plan, implement and modify treatment programs; to direct and supervise physical therapy services; to participate in discharge planning; to pursue professional growth; assist with educational duties and perform administrative and other duties as required. Must comply with all aspects of the Colorado Occupational Therapy Act in providing occupational therapy services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Must be graduate of Occupational Therapy program accredited by the A.O.T.A. and prove successful completion of Occupational Therapy Registration Exam
  • Must hold current licensure by State of Colorado as an O.T.R.
  • BLS Certification required
  • Job knowledge requires excellent interpersonal communication skills and understanding of management practices
  • Ability to effectively communicate, verbally, and non-verbally, in a clear, concise manner
  • Administrative and philosophical compatibility with Montrose Regional Health
  • Interpersonal skills and sound judgment necessary to communicate with a wide variety of persons including patients
  • The ability to make appropriate decisions based on fact and knowledge is required
  • The ability to perform detailed work required
  • The ability to work harmoniously with employees required
  • Must demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality and show good judgment
  • The ability to make decisions under pressure and deadlines required
