About The Position
Miracle Kids Success Academy (MKSA) & Kids Unlimited Learning Academy (KULA) is an early intervention day treatment clinic dedicated to providing high-quality care to children with special needs and their families. The clinic offers a comprehensive range of services including developmental screenings, therapy evaluations, and habilitation services for children with documented developmental disabilities or delays. These services address various needs such as fine motor delays, sensory disorders, gross motor delays, speech-language delays, hearing disorders, feeding disorders, developmental delays, cognitive delays, and medical needs. MKSA/KULA employs a multidisciplinary team of licensed occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and nurses. Additionally, the clinic provides developmental/psychological testing, nutritional evaluations, and audiological evaluations. The treatment team collaborates closely with families to ensure each child's needs are met. MKSA/KULA primarily serves children from birth to Kindergarten, with expanded services for elementary school-aged children during the summer months. The organization is seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist, welcoming both experienced professionals and newly graduated therapists, emphasizing talent and motivation as key factors for success in the role.
Requirements
- Current Arkansas license as an Occupational Therapist
- One year of successful experience in a similar position or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people
- Ability to work with children between the ages of birth to 6 who are at risk
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer skills which includes a working knowledge of database, word processing, spreadsheet, and Internet software
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and other company documents
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standard situations
