All 26 beds are in private inpatient rooms giving our patients access to ongoing acute medical management, 24-hour rehabilitative nursing care and the latest rehab techniques. Overview We’re seeking a dedicated and caring Occupational Therapist (OT) who would like the opportunity to be part of a team with a patient-centered approach, which brings decades of experience in providing the most innovative care. This position will treat patients with all diagnoses with a focus on stroke, traumatic brain or spinal cord injuries, as well as other neurological conditions. Our Inpatient Rehab Unit features a collaborative interdisciplinary team atmosphere and approach to patient care. This is a great opportunity to work in a special inpatient rehab setting, while still having access to the opportunities and benefits available in a system with a full continuum of rehab care. Position Description Per diem opening. Flexible schedule. Minimum of 16 hours/2 days per month requirement. One 8-hour shift must be on weekend, the other 8-hour shift can be during week or on the weekend pending need/availability. Holiday availability preferred The Occupational Therapist (OT) independently evaluates patients’ level of function and determines, develops, and implements individualized treatment goals and plans in alignment with the patient/caregiver goals. The Occupational Therapist (OT) determines treatment strategies and delivers Occupational Therapy services that promote health and wellness, prevent injury or disability, improve and develop self-dependency and maintenance, productivity, leisure, perceptual motor function, rest, mental, cognitive physical, sensory-perceptual, psychosocial developmental, and emotional wellbeing in a variety of contexts and environments in order to maximize function in the areas of daily living, leisure/recreation, and productivity/work. The Occupational Therapist (OT) delegates patient care responsibilities to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). This role encompasses evaluation skills and techniques, analysis of patients, and application of Occupational Therapy to maximize the patient's functional independence.
