About The Position

Voorhees Pediatric Facility (VPF) is a Nationally recognized Pediatric Specialty Care center for Medically Fragile Children/Adolescents/Young Adults that offers 119 in-patient beds and the largest freestanding pediatric ventilator program in the country. VPF continues to be recognized as a leader in pediatric healthcare, and in 2013 VPF received the highest accreditation awarded by The Joint Commission. In addition, VPF has expanded to include The Bancroft School at Voorhees Pediatric Facility, Voorhees Pediatric Facility Medical Daycare, and Voorhees Pediatric Rehabilitation Services (VPRS). The Occupational Therapist is an integral member of our dynamic rehabilitation team, responsible for the administration of appropriate treatment techniques and modalities for pediatric (re)habilitation of children aged birth to 21 years. Our Occupational therapists work closely with the interdisciplinary team to assure carryover of all treatment plans/goals as indicated. This position provides a qualified individual the unique opportunity to work in our 120-bed long-term care pediatric facility and provide school based services in our local community as well as in our on-site Bancroft school program.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • NJ Licensure
  • NJ Board of Education Certification or eligibility as School Occupational Therapist
  • Current BLS and CPR certifications (only AHA or ARC are accepted; certification must include cognitive and skills training)
  • Pediatric experience in both medical and educational settings
  • Strong organizational / time management skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well as a team member

Nice To Haves

  • MA/MS/MOT preferred
  • NDTA, CHT, AOTA, SI training/certification preferred
