About The Position
HMC is looking for a licensed Occupational Therapist to assist us on a part-time or per diem basis in our acute inpatient setting. The candidate must have flexibility in their schedule to cover both weekday and weekend needs. This individual must be able to work in an interdisciplinary team environment and have excellent communication skills.
Requirements
- Current OT license issued by the Massachusetts State Board of Allied Health Professionals.
- CPR Certification (BLS) or willingness to complete
- Current Driver's License
Responsibilities
- Evaluating and developing individualized treatment plans for patients that have been hospitalized due to illness, neurological insult, physical injury and or scheduled surgeries.
- Providing treatment interventions focusing on ADL training, functional mobility, upper extremity rehabilitation, cognitive retraining, and adaptive equipment recommendations.
- Patient and Family Education as it relates to self-care, home exercise programs and home modifications to enhance ADL performance.
- Discharge recommendations and planning in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
