About The Position

Assess and provide occupational therapy children who are eligible for Early Childhood Special Education services.

Requirements

• Must be certified occupational therapist.
• Must have the ability to relate well with young children.
• Must have the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic assessments for children with suspected fine motor delays.
• Record and evaluate findings to establish or revise treatment plan.
• Develop Individual Education Program (IEP).
• Provide occupational therapy to children.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
• Plan with classroom teacher to provide a trans disciplinary approach to meet children’s needs.
• Provide services within the classroom when possible.
• Maintain data on children’s progress and development.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding individual children’s progress.
