About The Position

Responsible for ensuring the delivery of outstanding occupational therapy service, including evidence-based patient care and patient engagement on an individual level and departmentally. The role is measured by key performance indicators such as Net Promoter Score, arrival percentage, visits per new patient, visits per clinical hour, and procedures per visit and clinical hour. Requirements

  • Graduation from an approved school of occupational therapy
  • Current occupational therapy license in the state in which they practice
  • Current CPR certification

  • Appropriate interpersonal skills to enable positive interactions with patients/families, and other health care professionals

Responsibilities

  • Performs clinic care and occupational therapist duties in accordance with the needs of the clinic and patients.
  • Promotes and has knowledge of and utilizes appropriate patient care protocol relating to the physical, cognitive, neurologic, psychosocial, and functional needs of ANR’s patient population.
  • Establishes occupational therapy interventions based upon the evaluation and examination, physician orders, and patient’s goals for therapy.
  • Competently performs appropriate occupational therapy techniques and procedures.
  • Provides for continuity of patient care through written and verbal communication with other health care professionals.
  • Makes recommendations for needed patient care equipment prior to patient discharge and assists with acquisition of same as appropriate.
  • Documents findings, patient progress, and all procedures performed within established time frames.
  • Submits all patient billing at the end of each day.
  • Instructs patients/family members in home programs.
  • Demonstrates effective time management.
  • Complies with quality improvement standards.
