About The Position

This position involves providing Occupational Therapy services to patients within an Inpatient Rehab setting. The role requires developing, documenting, and implementing appropriate treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes for patients across a wide range of injuries and ages. The therapist will participate in regularly scheduled patient care-team conferences, contributing to the interdisciplinary plan of care by discussing therapy goals, patient progress, and discharge recommendations. Coordination of patient care with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, speech therapists, and nurses, is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, possessing strong organizational and time management skills, and will be a compassionate professional who encourages and inspires patients toward greater independence and recovery.

Requirements

  • Appropriate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current, valid Occupational Therapy license (or eligibility for licensure) in the state of Mississippi
  • American Red Cross BLS Certification

  • Clinical experience in acute care, inpatient rehab, or outpatient settings
