This Occupational Therapist position is part-time and supports Grand Rapids and surrounding areas. The role involves providing program participant evaluations and occupational therapy services, with the potential to supervise Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants. Key responsibilities include conducting evaluations and testing, developing and administering effective treatment plans, and communicating treatment needs to staff. The therapist will manage an assigned caseload, set up home exercise programs, perform home evaluations, and maintain accurate and timely documentation. Participation in rehabilitation treatment teams, departmental meetings, and continuous professional development through training and seminars is required. Collaboration with physicians, staff, other professionals, consultants, families, and community resources is essential to ensure the effectiveness of the occupational therapy program. The position also involves providing in-service programs, contributing to departmental budget maintenance, monitoring equipment, and adhering to service, accreditation, licensure, and confidentiality standards. Supervisory duties include directing and supervising assigned staff, conducting performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, training, and making decisions regarding employee actions.
