About The Position

About Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital In response to the health care needs of a growing community, in 1977, Corewell opened a new 189-bed hospital on rural farmland in Troy. Today, Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital has grown to 530 licensed beds and offers a comprehensive array of health care services, continuing to develop to meet the needs of the growing communities it serves. Scope of Work: In collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, provides therapeutic services including evaluation, treatment, and education. Monitors the treatment activities of COTA’s and aides. Completes evaluations of assigned patients in accordance with the established standards of care and practice. Plans and provides treatment to assigned patients as appropriate in accordance with established standards of care and practice. Completes all documentation of services per department standards. Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job related hazards. Follows the hospital exposure control plans/bloodborne and airborne pathogens. Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment. Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a department/unit team inter- and intra-departmentally to facilitate the department’s/unit’s ability to meet its goals and objectives. Maintains updated license and submits evidence of status to supervisor/manager within two weeks of receipt of new or updated license.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited OT school.
• Successful completion of clinical internship.
• Current State OT license.
• BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

• Previous clinical experience/rehabilitation experience preferred.
