About The Position

Description PRN (As Needed) Monday - Friday Varied Day/Evening Shifts Weekend and holiday rotation Under the direction of a Clinical Manager, assists with assessing, planning, implementing Occupational Therapy to patients. Maintains the operational aspects of the therapy unit in collaboration with the Clinical Manager. Further contributes to the Physical Medicine Department, Hospital and the American Occupational Therapy Association through support of philosophy, objectives, educational and research efforts. Is responsible for the supervision of subordinate staff, students and volunteers as delegated by department administrative personnel. May be required to travel between clinical sites to assist in provision of care. Encourages patients and families to give feedback and suggestions for improvement. Develops working relationships critical to the organization including patients, families, coworkers, other departments, physicians/providers and community. Encourages others by providing recognition and support.

Requirements

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited program with a degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Experience: Experience applying customer service behaviors and communication skills required.
  • Certifications/Licensure: Licensed as a Occupational Therapist in Pennsylvania required or maintain a temporary occupational therapist license required.
  • Registered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) required.
  • Maintains current CPR certification.
