About The Position
We are seeking a compassionate and flexible Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals on a PRN basis. In this role, you will provide person-centered care focused on improving residents’ independence, safety, and quality of life through meaningful daily activities and functional outcomes.
Requirements
- Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy license
- In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
- Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices
- Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and clinical decision-making skills
Nice To Haves
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred
- Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred
Responsibilities
- Consult with patients to evaluate their physical condition and its impact on daily occupations, well-being, and quality of life
- Assess and interpret patient evaluations and test results
- Develop individualized treatment plans using a variety of therapeutic techniques to maximize performance in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)
- Assess patients’ home and living environments and recommend modifications based on their needs and capabilities
- Recommend adaptive equipment and provide training to support independence and safety
- Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care
- Monitor patient response to treatment and modify interventions as clinically appropriate in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Provide clinical education and support to patients, family members, and caregivers
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality patient care
- Complete documentation thoroughly and timely in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations
- Comply with all applicable rules, regulations, and procedures
- Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab
