About The Position

As an Occupational Therapist within the Health Care and Social Assistance industry, you will play a critical role in enhancing the quality of life for patients by enabling them to perform daily activities independently and safely. You will assess patients' physical, emotional, and environmental needs to develop personalized rehabilitation plans that promote recovery and functional ability. Requirements

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist credential valid in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of home health care regulations and ethical standards.
  • Experience in conducting home care needs assessments and developing rehabilitation plans.
  • Strong understanding of geriatric rehabilitation and physical therapy principles.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough homecare needs assessments to evaluate patients' functional abilities and environmental factors.
  • Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans focused on rehabilitation and physical therapy goals.
  • Manage and coordinate home care services in compliance with home care regulations and ethical guidelines.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physical therapists, nurses, and social workers to optimize patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment, and strategies to support independence.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly to ensure effective rehabilitation outcomes.
