About The Position

This position involves evaluating and treating patients with physical, emotional, cognitive, and/or psychosocial deficits. It is a full-time role with a day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, offering flexible shift start times. The role includes a $6,000.00 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance is available.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy, or related area as required to obtain licensure in state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) required within 90 day of employment.
  • Other resuscitation certifications may be required dependent on department.
  • Occupational Therapist license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) for work in Illinois.
  • Occupational Therapist license from the Missouri Division of Professional Registration for work in Missouri.
  • Occupational Therapist license from the Oklahoma Medical Board for work in Oklahoma.
  • Occupational Therapist (OT) license from the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services for work in Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses patient 's ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills.
  • Designs the appropriate plan of care, including type and frequency of treatment.
  • Implements the treatment plan using appropriate modalities.
  • Documents findings of patient progress.
  • Monitors and modifies the plan of care as needed.
  • Seeks consultation as necessary.
  • Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
  • Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.
  • Oversees the care provided by designated individuals according to established regulations and practice standards.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
