The Therapist provides patient care including evaluating the patient for treatment providing and directing administration of the care plan upon the referral from the physician. Consults with other health care disciplines to coordinate therapeutic programs and discharge planning for individual patients. Instructs patients and caregivers in home program exercises and functional activities. Assists with patient program management while delivering quality patient services. Meets or exceeds the productivity standard on an individual basis. Completes general and specialty competencies appropriate to clinical area for patient care management (General, ICU, FIM, DBS, Lung Transplant, Behavior management, MBS, FEES, etc). Selects and performs appropriate standardized clinical tests and measures to determine appropriate treatment goals and plan that is based on data analysis and evidence for practice with clear documentation justifying the need for skilled therapy services. Reviews and interprets all pertinent data (medical, psychosocial, historical, cultural) related to the condition(s) during the evaluation, treatment, reassessment and discharge planning.

  • Internship or rotation in appropriate clinical setting required.
  • Graduate of an Occupational Therapy program required.
  • Current American Heart Association-issued BLS Healthcare Provider Card.
  • Arizona State Occupational Therapy License.
  • Computer skills required
  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in appropriate clinical area preferred.
  • Two (2) years progressive experience in clinical area, performing patient clinical preferred.
  • Prior use of electronic health record preferred.
