About The Position

Occupational Therapist (OT) Sequoia Transitional Care – Porterville, CA Status: Full-Time, Part-Time, or PRN Pay Range: $60.00 – $65.00 per hour Join Our Team! Sequoia Transitional Care is seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our therapy team and support our dynamic sensory program. Position Summary The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating residents, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to improve independence, safety, and quality of life. This role works closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal clinical outcomes.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy preferred
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist in the State of California (required)
  • Must maintain license in good standing at all times
  • CPR certification (as required)
  • Must meet all continuing education requirements per state regulations
  • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical procedures and policy manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, coworkers, residents, and families
  • Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical situations
  • Ability to solve practical problems
  • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Candidates must be willing to relocate prior to starting work (if applicable).

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy preferred
  • Experience in post-acute or long-term care settings preferred
  • Proficient in computer systems including Casamba and PointClickCare preferred
