About The Position

Our Banner Physical Therapy outpatient center is actively seeking an occupational therapist (OTR) to join our highly trained and respected ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation Program team, which provides rehabilitative services to help improve the quality of life for people affected by cancer. Our ReVital team provides the necessary education and training for therapists invested in treating our diverse patient population. This position will support the expanding ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation team in Flagstaff, AZ, by providing additional acute and chronic lymphedema treatment availability. The ideal candidate will be willing to cooperate with other therapist team members to coordinate care for increased access to care overall. Licensed clinical experience and lymphedema interest required, experience/certification strongly preferred. Our network of 900+ specially trained, multidisciplinary therapists work closely with oncologists and people affected by cancer to create personalized rehabilitation plans.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school for occupational therapy
• State Occupational Therapist license (or license eligible)
• CPR certification
• Valid state driver’s license
• Licensed clinical experience and lymphedema interest required, experience/certification strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
• Enhance, develop and expand relationships with referral sources and maintain a positive level of interaction with centers and patients.
• Develop objective patient goals and establish the type, frequency and duration of occupational therapy in collaboration with the referring physician.
• Understand appropriate state Practice Act and adhere to the laws that govern how OTs may practice and whom they may supervise.
• Participate in the design and implementation of new programs or procedures with the approval of the manager and referring physicians per HIPPA guidelines.
• Supervise and delegate occupational therapy care for each patient within the guidelines of state rules and federal regulations.
• Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment programs and demonstrate completion of patient care responsibilities and documentation requirements in an appropriate and timely manner.
