We are seeking a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to work with children aged 0-3 who have developmental delays. Requirements

  • A current Occupational Therapy license from the State of California Occupational Therapy Board (CBOT).
  • Master's degree in occupational therapy from a program approved by the National Board of Certified Occupational Therapists (NBCOT).
  • Minimum one (1) year of OT experience, with at least one (1) year of experience in pediatrics (birth to 5 years).
  • You must be 18 years of age or older at the time of hire and receive criminal record clearance from the DOJ.
  • A valid California Driver's license with a safe driving record, held for at least two years.
  • Current and adequate auto insurance.
  • The ability to obtain CPR/FA certification (training is available).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • A collaborative mindset with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • The ability to form positive and professional working relationships.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Excellent time management and the ability to work independently.
  • The ability to maintain cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Fluency in English is required

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish is a big plus.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews collateral and intake information provided.
  • Evaluates child's ability to function and engage in everyday activities and routines.
  • Completes intake paperwork, assessments, reports, and treatment plans with identified children and their families.
  • Assists in the development of the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP).
  • Schedules, plans, and conducts home visits with assigned families to carry out treatment plans and IFSP goals.1
  • Maintains ongoing communication with families and members of the ID team to coordinate program services.2
  • Prepares, collects, and maintains educational information files, records, case notes, and documentation from outside agencies.3
  • Conducts research related to families’ needs for service and provides resources and educational informat4ion.
  • Travels throughout assigned county (San Diego or Imperial) to complete sessions in family homes and other community locations
