About The Position

We are excited to welcome a compassionate Occupational Therapist to our hospital rehabilitation team. In this role, you will work in a collaborative, patient-centered hospital environment where your expertise directly supports healing, independence, and quality of life. You will partner with physicians, nurses, therapists, patients, and families to deliver high-quality care across the continuum of recovery. Position Overview The Occupational Therapist provides comprehensive evaluations and individualized treatment plans for patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery. Treatments are delivered as prescribed by the referring physician and are designed to restore function, reduce pain, and prevent disability. As a valued member of the hospital care team, you will support patients in reaching their highest level of independence while contributing to a culture of safety, compassion, and clinical excellence.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Eligible for licensure through the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts
  • Current Occupational Therapist license, certification, or registration with the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients and develop personalized occupational therapy plans of care
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address physical, functional, and cognitive needs
  • Support patients in regaining independence in activities of daily living and functional mobility
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers to promote safe transitions of care and successful recovery at home
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary hospital teams to coordinate care
  • Supervise and support therapy aides or other assigned support staff
  • Ensure accurate, timely documentation and patient charge entry in accordance with hospital standards
  • Participate in hospital infection prevention practices, safety initiatives, and equipment training
  • Contribute to department operations and quality improvement efforts
  • Accept additional responsibilities and projects that support departmental and hospital goals
