The Occupational Therapist will provide direct services to students in Grades K-2 at Stony Brook Elementary School, which includes small group and individual settings and inclusion settings. The position requires the following: Knowledge and experience as an occupational therapist (experience in an elementary school setting preferred but not required); Ability to fulfill student IEP service delivery grids; Participation in the Special Education Team process; Conduct occupational therapy assessments, report writing, progress reports, and IEP development; Provide OT services for students in small groups and individual inclusion; Support specialist teachers and co-teach specialist classes to develop adaptive specialist classes; Provide executive functioning intervention and support to students on IEPs and in general education settings; Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with other special educators, general education teachers, paraeducators, and caregivers; Flexibility and a positive attitude required.
