Requirements

  • Passionate about empowering individuals to achieve their maximum level of independence.
  • A compassionate and effective communicator, connecting easily with patients and colleagues.
  • A creative problem-solver, adapting treatment plans to meet diverse patient needs.
  • Confident in both independent work and collaboration within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Possesses a degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program and a current PA Occupational Therapist license or the ability to obtain one prior to starting.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and assess individual patient needs, creating personalized treatment plans to inspire functional independence.
  • Utilize evidence-based methods and therapeutic tools to improve motor functions, cognitive abilities, and daily activities.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (physical therapists, speech therapists, doctors, nursing staff) to provide comprehensive care.
  • Educate and empower patients and their families, providing them with the knowledge and techniques to continue improving at home.
  • Monitor patient progress, documenting outcomes and adjusting therapy plans for optimal recovery.
